Mike Pogoda is a fly fishing guide and fly fishing instructor based out of Bozeman, Montana. His passion for fishing started at a young age, like most kids, fishing with his dad and grandfather. Gradually this hobby grew into an obsession and career. Mike has fished and lived all over the country before settling in Montana over a decade ago. His career in fly fishing began by working at a local fly shop where he eventually became the manager of the shop. While serving as manager, he especially enjoyed giving anglers advice, seeing them put that advice to use, and hearing about their successful days on the water.

In the last few years he’s transitioned into sharing his passion for fly fishing through guiding and personalized fly fishing instruction. Mike enjoys helping people fall in love with the sport of fly fishing and sharing his knowledge of Montana and fishing with others.

He is a member of the Winston fly rods pro staff and prides himself in being affiliated with some of the best brands on the market and sharing those brands with his clients. Riversmith is a brand he’s used for many years and he is really excited to be a part of another great team! When he’s not fishing or guiding he’s usually skiing or enjoying the mountains with his family!
