This pack exceeded expectations.
It fit everything I needed for a long weekend on the water. No trouble going through TSA, but I did end up gate checking it. The travel pack did get some wear on it, but I’m hoping that can be cleaned. Overall I would recommend this pack

I just took this bag on a week long trip to Montana. I was able to fit two rods and reels, boots, waders, chest pack, everything I keep in my chest pack, net, and almost all of my clothes for the week. had no problem getting the bag through TSA but I did have to gate check it. This was due to the flight being full and I was in a late boarding group. No one gave it a second look with gate checking it though and handled it like any other carryon.

Unfortunately on my flight in to Montana something happened during the baggage handling process and one of the g clips on the shoulder straps snapped. I was pretty surprised to see this because the clips are solid aluminum and are very strong. It must’ve gotten snagged somewhere and that’s where it gave. I reached out to riversmith and they ended up sending me replacement parts to a post office near my campsite to allow me to do a field repair before my flight back home.

This bag is exactly what any traveling angler needs, and if you have any issues at all riversmith will stand behind their product and help you in any way they can.

I love everything about it. It makes it easy to move between spots or drive from home. I live in VA and it gets hot af here. I had my rod up there on and off all day then on a 2 hour ride home. It never got hot. I appreciate that. One thing I would suggest is sending washers for the bolts that are used on the rail. They were too long on my 4Runner and I accidentally screwed into paint trying to tighten it down. I fixed it but washers would have helped to get it tighter. I bought some and now it’s fine. Overall though absolutely worth it. Thanks!

Last year we were in New Mexico. It was a pain breaking down our rods and moving to a new location or back to camp.

When we got home I searched the Internet. No luck. Then my son told me about the River Quiver. I visited him several weeks later and checked it out. I purchased a 4 Banger soon after.

Last week we finally used it, same area of New Mexico. It makes moving so much easier and faster.

After we were down with New Mexico we left the rods in the Quiver, we were supposed to go to the Beartooth Mountains but a June snowstorm hit.

The rod and reels road home. 1000 miles. 75 mph. 15 mph cross winds. Heavy rain. No problems. No shift in location. No damage to the rods or reels. The River Quiver is water proof. It isn't dust proof, no issue.

I plan the get a 2 Banger Shortcut at a later date.

I have been waiting for this fly rod storage for a long time. I run my RTT cab level and never wanted the long full length rod case hanging over my cab. The Short Cut is exactly what I've been looking for.

Only used once since receiving and installing but install was easy, fit and finish is top notch. Very well made with no issues. When ordering customer service was great to work with when figuring out if it would work in the bed of my Jeep Gladiator. Couple measurements and photos shared with customer service and the decision to cut 1" off was made and every thing works perfectly for all my 9' 4pc rods with room to spare.
I did have to remove the factory front bed rail in order to have a little clearance at the front of the bed and at the tailgate, but that was ok for me since I never used that one. Very happy with my decision to purchase. Great Product, Thank you.

I got the Shortcut River Quiver for my 4Runner and loving it so far. It’s compact, unobtrusive and really like the low profile mounting option to keep my max height below the public garage ceilings.
The auto lock function is another good design, easy to close and the hatch seal does a good job of keeping dust out.

Perfect size. I had a full size and I prefer the shorter version for traveling. Fits on my platform great with the t-slot attachment, and it doesn’t take too long to breakdown your rig in half.

It’s great. Well made. Super easy to install on Tacoma bed rails and easily fits under tonneau cover. Takes maybe 15 minutes to install. 13mm socket gets it done.

I am fastidious about my equipment and try to keep it in pristine condition. The rod chairs will keep my rods from rubbing on the tubes of my Quiver.

I have had this quiver for a bit over a month. I love it. The compact style is ideal for every day guiding/outfitting. Fits perfect in the bed of my Tacoma. Great product, durable, zero problems.
