In 2024 we upgraded the locking system on our Reel Box design to include an auto-locking feature. This adds another level of security and acts as a fail-safe so you don't have to remember to lock your River Quiver at every stop. All new River Quiver purchases come standard with the new auto-locking system.
I bought this because I lost the keys to my original lock. I wondered if I would like the automatic locking feature, but it’s great and way less hassle than the original. Installation was super easy, especially after watching the video. Customer service from the Riversmith staff is wonderful.
Lock works great and it's really nice to know it is always locked. Install video was perfect and made it a snap to install.
New locking design is great
Replacement lock was received very quickly and installation was fast and simple and installation guide was useful. Working well and I like the new feature of always locked. Good job.
i switched back to original lock after noticing the new lock with spacers allows the box to have a significant gap after closing. i purchased new washers and even tried an o ring in front of the new plastic finger handle. it improved the gap but the metal washer won’t hold tight. it looks like it is only partially threaded. i’m back to the plastic lock with the broken old design for now. not sure what to do to get the gap tight and no local hardware shops have the jam nut. otherwise happy with the quiver.
