Register For '25 On The Fly' Today!

Attention Colorado Anglers!! Registration is now open for the 8th annual 'Mile High 25 On the Fly' presented by Orvis! This event is one part fly fishing scavenger hunt, one part tournament and will challenge you & your best fishing buddy over 2 full days of fishing.

Your mission: to pursue 25 eligible fish species with fly tackle only. Along the journey, teams will use smartphones to film and log each fish species, while also attempting to find hidden prizes and complete team challenges. Most importantly the goal is to challenge yourself and open your eyes to new locations and fish to target with your fly rod. The Mile High 25 On the Fly is welcoming of all skill levels and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams, as well as the winners of the Team Challenge categories.

To be successful in it's all about finding and fishing the nooks and crannies. To be efficient, you and your teammate should plan ahead to make sure you are not driving too far for a fish or challenge that might live right near your doorstep. Even better, what’s so great about fly fishing is that you determine what success looks like! For some it might be catching 2 or 3 species they haven’t put in the net before. For others, success might look like landing a personal best or a new species for the first time. Either way, it’s all about having fun, creating a plan, and going for it!

For 2023, the Mile High 25 On the Fly will have the best pool of prizes to date and proudly supports Denver Trout Unlimited and will be a fundraising mechanism for DTU to continue their work with restoration projects on Denver's South Platte River.
