The T-Stud assembly (not named after the engineer that designed it!) connects the riser to the River Quiver fly rod holder. 

This was a part designed for versatility. The T-Groove design allows for maximum versatility of placement depending on your rack solution. The T-Stud Assembly is a replacement part for the set that came with your River Quiver fly rod holder.
