In May 2023, we asked our followers a simple question: Would you want a ShortCut mounting option for the bed of your pickup? The response was loud and clear—YES! (Check out that original video here).
We got to work, developing and testing a solution that fit the needs of anglers looking for a secure, efficient, and durable way to transport their fly rods in a truck bed. By June 2024, we launched the 2-Banger ShortCut Bed Mount, and the interest was immediate. But there was one question we kept hearing:
"When will there be a 4-rod version?"
By late summer of last year, we began exploring ideas to safely and securely mount a 4-rod ShortCut in a pickup bed. As often happens in product design, the best solution was simple—we added a third mount for additional stability, reinforcing it against overturning forces. Over the next several months, we put it through rigorous testing in real-world conditions, ensuring its performance and durability met our standards.
After 6 months of development and refinement, and 1.5 years of user feedback on the original system, we’re thrilled to announce that the 4-Banger ShortCut Bed Mount is officially launching on February 21st at the Fly Fishing Show in Denver and online Febuary 24th!
