Fly Rod Sleeve for Protecting Fully-Rigged Rods

Pack of Two.

Designed to pair perfectly with River Quivers, Rig Wrap keeps fully-rigged fly rods organized and protected during transport. It helps prevent tangles, shields rods and guides from scratches or impact, and makes loading and unloading easier.

Available in Two Sizes:

Standard - For Rods up to 10'4"

ShortCut - For Rods up to 10'4" (in Half)

*Both Sizes work well for longer rods (> 10'4") but do not cover cork completely.

Riversmith Rig Wrap Rod Sleeves keep fully rigged rods organized and protected in your River Quiver, the back of the car, the garage, or any other rod carry system. They prevent flies and hooks from snagging guides, reel seats, and adjacent rods, keeping rods tangle-free and ready to fish.

The sleeves add an extra layer of protection during transport, particularly for anglers who do not regularly clean their River Quiver as directed or who use other rod carry systems. They help reduce abrasion, dust, and general wear inside the carrier. Each sleeve is built from a coated, tightly woven material that does not fray like common woven rod socks. The tighter weave and coating resist hook penetration, and if a hook does push through, it removes cleanly without tearing the fabric.

The coating also reduces friction, allowing the sleeve to slide easily in and out of quivers while protecting rod blanks from abrasion better than other available rod sleeves.

Lengths are specific to River Quiver dimensions. Sleeves are sized longer than standard rod socks for both ShortCut and Standard Quivers, providing full coverage down to the cork on rods up to ten feet. The added length prevents sleeves from catching or getting stuck inside the quiver extrusion without relying on elastic cords or closures.

Start with the Rig Wrap fully extended over the rod and reel. The braided sleeve should be stretched to its natural length, covering the guides and cork.

To shorten it for a shorter rod, grab the bottom opening near the reel seat. Do not roll the material. Instead, push the sleeve upward toward the rod tip. The expandable braid will fold over itself and compress evenly.

Continue pushing the sleeve up into itself from the bottom opening. As you compress it, the diameter increases slightly and the overall length shortens. The material will stack neatly without straps, buckles, or fasteners.

Stop once the sleeve matches the length of your rod section. The Rig Wrap now sits shorter and snug, with the excess material folded cleanly into itself and the rod fully protected.
