Riversmith was happy to support this year's Otter Creek Classic - a fishing tournament, fundraiser and river-clean-up-effort benefitting the New Haven River Angler's Association. The event was sponsored and presented by Riversmith Dealer Green Mountain Adventures, located in Middlebury, VT.
Here's and excerpt of the wrap-up report from Green Mountain Adventures:
"We had 80+ anglers participate this year and caught and released a combination of 177 fish. We were able to pick up two truck loads of trash from the rivers with our OCC Cares initiative. Typical spring weather was on tap for the event – a beautiful sunny day on Saturday followed by rain showers on Sunday at the awards ceremony and BBQ. Money raised will be put towards stream restoration and education in our local public schools. Everyone had a great time and we are already working on the OCC17 for next Spring." - Steven Atocha, Owner Middlebury Mountaineer/Green Mountain Adventures
